2. Participates in and oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of individual project objectives and short- and long-range plans in an owner’s project team; develops tracking and evaluation programs to assist in the accomplishment of established project goals and objectives.
3. Manages and reviews Mechanical design documentation submitted by Engineering Contractors with consultations with operating sites. Should be able to work proactively with Design contractors to find solutions in projects
4. Manages the working relationships between project teams and other stake holders.
5. Collaborates with Company Project leadership and administration to establish project goals and priorities for business and technology solutions to meet individual project needs.
6. Develops Front End Mechanical Design documentation before engagement of Contractors.
7. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
8. He would support the Mechanical Engineering requirements of projects.
9. Skills to identify Engineering Contractor and Mechanical Equipment suppliers and be able to manage them to meet Company objectives. Educational qualifications:
Minimum of overall experience of about 10 to 12 years in Mechanical Engineering Design along with some Maintenance exposure with specific familiarity in handling Chemical/Fertilizer industry projects.
He should have handled Projects having investment in excess of Rs.10 Crores Experience with Maintenance disciplines would be preferable.
Active experience in Engineering office, as Mechanical Design engineer, with full knowledge of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction cycle and the processes followed therein.
- Proven working experience in Project Mechanical engineering Design with awareness of modern practices and exposure to interface management with other disciplines.
- Should have handled jobs either in owner organizations or with Engineering Companies and should be familiar with execution models such as EPC LS, EPCM, PMC
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Modern Mechanical Engineering Design Software.
- Strong people management skills.
- Knowledge of Document management and controls.
- Strong exposure to Industrial Mechanical design of Static and Rotary equipment in chemical/Fertilizer plants.
- Some Exposure to ERP systems.
- Co-ordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors/Contractors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Assist in the definition of project Mechanical Engineering scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Manage changes to the project Mechanical scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Report and escalate issues to Project Management as needed
- Manage the relationship with all stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Have a strong commitment to Health Safety & Environment and to the concept of zero incidents.
- Believe very strongly about ethical methods to execute projects.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with Company management as well as other staff members
