Job Description
A Plant Manager in the specialty chemical industry is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end operations of a manufacturing facility. Specialty chemicals require high precision, multiproduct batch manufacturing, and strict adherence to technical specifications and safety standards. To be conversant in Gujarati.
Role deliverables :
- Oversee daily production targets are met to ensure OTP, suggest, and implement changes in process for the same.
- Managing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and maximizing plant capacity.
- Audit the production activity to ensure RFT and system decided are being implemented. Introduce counter check mechanism.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to reduce waste and improve product yield.
- To interact with R&D and QA to introduce additional test to ensure product quality.
- Suggest & Implement energy efficiency processes in manufacturing & engineering.
- Manage the plant's P&L, including budgeting, cost control, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning for facility upgrades.
- Coordinate with R&D for technology transfer and scale-up from pilot plants to commercial-scale production.
- Manage cross functional synergy among engineers, operators, and maintenance staff, at the same time focusing on talent development and maintaining high morale.
