Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PTFE production operations and achieve safety,
quality, yield, cost and delivery targets.
- Monitor critical process parameters and ensure stable and
efficient plant performance.
- Drive process optimisation, productivity improvement and
cost-reduction initiatives.
- Troubleshoot process, production and quality-related
issues.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, EHS, Quality, R&D,
Projects and Supply Chain teams.
- Support process scale-up, technology transfer, plant
trials and new product development.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, process-safety standards,
HAZOP recommendations and statutory requirements.
- Review production KPIs, downtime, yield variances, process
deviations and operational MIS.
- Lead and develop the production team through training and
performance management
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of PTFE, fluoropolymer, fluorochemical, polymer, or speciality
chemical manufacturing processes.
- Sound understanding of chemical-reaction engineering, polymerisation, process
control, and unit operations.
- Strong exposure to batch or continuous-process manufacturing environments.
- Experience in production planning, plant troubleshooting, yield improvement,
cost reduction, and capacity enhancement.
- Knowledge of process safety, HAZOP, risk assessment, incident investigation,
and statutory compliance.
- Strong leadership, team-management, analytical, and decision-making
capabilities.
- Ability to manage cross-functional coordination and deliver results in a
high-compliance manufacturing environment.
- Good
knowledge of SAP/ERP systems, production reporting, budgeting, and MIS.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates currently working in PTFE, fluoropolymers, fluorochemicals,
polymers, speciality chemicals, or process-chemical manufacturing will be
preferred.
- Should have handled production teams and independently managed a plant,
production block, or major manufacturing section.
- Exposure to expansion projects,
debottlenecking, process scale-up, automation, or technology transfer will be
an advantage.
