Key Roles & Responsibilities
Piping Stress Analysis: Independently perform piping stress analysis at all project stages using CAESAR-II. Prepare the Stress Design Basis, critical line lists, load cases, and execute structural flexibilities and stress calculations.
Specialized Evaluations: Conduct flange leakage checks, equipment nozzle loading evaluations, and frequency checks via modal, dynamic wind, and seismic analysis.
Advanced Piping Layouts: Execute complex engineering checks for jacketed piping systems, underground (UG) piping stress analysis, WRC calculations, and special piping components (SPS).
Support Design & Procurement Data: Evaluate forces, moments, and displacements to design appropriate pipe supports. Prepare technical data sheets for specialty items like spring hangers, bellows, and expansion joints.
Codes & Standards Compliance: Ensure all layouts and stress checks strictly adhere to applicable international and national codes including ASME, ANSI, API, and IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations).
Deliverable Ownership: Manage and provide final checks, approvals, and stamping for all design deliverables associated with plant piping. Generate material take-offs (MTO) and supply accurate cost estimations for project budgeting.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day engineering and design activities with other internal disciplines and external teams.
Mandatory Software: High proficiency in CAESAR-II (for modeling and stress reports) and Navisworks (for 3D model reviews).
Certifications/Trainings: Familiarity or certified training in ASME/ANSI codes and CAESAR-II modules.
