Key Responsibilities:
-Optimize chemical manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, product quality and cost-effectiveness.
-Design and implement new processes and modifications to existing plant processes.
-Troubleshoot complex process and production issues to minimize downtime and operational losses.
-Manage technology transfer and absorption activities for new product development.
-Conduct pilot-scale trials and support plant validation and commercial-scale implementation of new products.
-Prepare Basic Engineering Packages, capacity mapping, equipment suitability assessments and feasibility studies.
-Analyse process data, monitor KPIs and prepare performance and improvement reports.
-Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental and quality standards.
-Coordinate with Production, R&D, Quality, Maintenance and other cross-functional teams.
-Lead process improvement projects and support team development.
Required Skills:
-Strong knowledge of chemical processes, plant operations and process optimization.
-Hands-on experience in technology transfer, scale-up and pilot-to-plant validation.
-Experience with process simulation software such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS.
-Knowledge of process control systems, safety audits and risk assessment methodologies.
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
-Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
