Purpose
The Manager – Costing & MIS will
be responsible for managing product costing, budgeting, financial analysis,
management reporting and cost-control activities. The role will support senior
management by providing accurate financial insights, identifying
cost-optimisation opportunities and strengthening financial controls across
manufacturing operations.
Key
Responsibilities
-Manage product costing, standard costing and
manufacturing cost analysis.
-Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts and business
plans.
-Analyse actual performance against budget and identify
key variances.
-Conduct material, labour, overhead, yield, utility and
production variance analysis.
-Prepare monthly MIS reports, dashboards and management
presentations.
-Monitor plant profitability, contribution margins and
cost-centre performance.
-Review BOMs, routing costs, inventory valuation and
production-related expenses.
-Support month-end and year-end financial closing
activities.
-Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Supply Chain,
Finance and Commercial teams for cost optimisation.
-Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive corrective
actions with relevant stakeholders.
-Ensure accurate inventory accounting, stock
reconciliation and provision monitoring.
-Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure
compliance with accounting policies.
Support statutory audits, internal audits and cost
audits.
-Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the
Financial Controller and senior management.
-Support business decision-making through profitability,
pricing and investment analysis.
Required
Skills
-Strong knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing
costing.
-Hands-on experience in MIS reporting, budgeting and
forecasting.
-Expertise in variance analysis, inventory control and
profitability analysis.
-Strong understanding of financial controlling and plant
finance.
-Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and
advanced Microsoft Excel.
-Strong analytical, presentation and
stakeholder-management skills.
-Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a
manufacturing environment.
Preferred
Candidate Profile
-Qualified Cost Accountant / ICWA with 7+ years of
relevant experience.
-Experience in chemicals, fertilisers, agrochemicals or
process manufacturing industries will be preferred.
-Candidates currently handling costing, MIS, budgeting,
plant finance or financial controlling responsibilities will be suitable.
-Strong exposure to manufacturing operations and
management reporting is essential.
