Key Responsibilities
-Lead the design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the captive power plant.
-Manage a CPP project valued at approximately ₹220 crore.
-Finalise technical specifications and selection of boilers, turbine generators, utilities, equipment and piping systems.
-Coordinate with engineering consultants, project teams, contractors, vendors and procurement teams.
-Ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality, cost and safety standards.
-Establish systems for uninterrupted supply of power and steam.
-Manage coal and biomass fuel requirements, including quality, procurement coordination and storage.
-Implement preventive maintenance systems and improve overall plant uptime.
-Control R&M expenses, CAPEX and critical-spares inventory.
-Ensure statutory, environmental and workplace safety compliance.
-Establish IMS, SOPs, work instructions and TQM practices within the CPP function.
-Develop and lead officers, engineers and contractor teams.
Candidate Profile
-Strong experience in coal-based Captive Power Plant projects and operations.
-Hands-on exposure to CPP design, project execution, commissioning and plant operations.
-Sound understanding of boilers, turbine generators, steam systems, utilities and fuel management.
-Strong capabilities in project planning, contractor management, commercial decision-making and problem-solving.
-Proven leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
