Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end Agro Technical Projects, including
project planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning,
and handover.
- Take overall responsibility for execution of large-scale Greenfield
and Brownfield projects within approved timelines, budgets, and
quality standards.
- Develop project execution strategies, project schedules,
budgets, resource plans, and milestones.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams covering Civil,
Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and Utilities.
- Coordinate with consultants, EPC contractors, vendors,
technology partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical
specifications, layouts, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and project
documentation.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement
corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure effective CAPEX management, cost control, resource
optimization, and project governance.
- Drive procurement and vendor coordination for critical project
equipment and materials.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, statutory, regulatory, quality,
and environmental requirements throughout project execution.
- Lead plant commissioning, trial runs, performance validation,
stabilization, and successful handover to operations.
- Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and
performance reports to the Managing Director.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution
methodologies, engineering standards, and cost optimization.
Core Requirement
- 20+ years of experience in Projects
/ Engineering, preferably within the Agrochemical / Agro Technical /
Chemical Manufacturing industry.
- Must have strong hands-on exposure to core Agro Technical
Projects.
- Proven experience in handling large-scale
Greenfield/Brownfield projects.
- Strong understanding of chemical/agrochemical process plants,
utilities, infrastructure, and associated project engineering.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams and
multiple contractors.
- Strong commercial, project planning, negotiation, and
stakeholder management skills.
- Should have the leadership maturity to independently manage
projects and interact directly with the MD and senior management.
Preferred Candidate Profile
A senior-level Projects professional
with 20+ years of experience who has successfully handled core Agro
Technical / Agrochemical projects from conceptualization and engineering
through commissioning and handover.
Candidates from Agrochemical, Specialty
Chemicals, Crop Protection, API, or related process industries with strong Agro
Technical project exposure will be preferred.
