Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of
CPP mechanical equipment.
- Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of boilers, steam
turbines, and associated auxiliary systems.
- Ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of DM plants and
water-treatment systems.
- Maintain pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, cooling towers,
and other rotating and stationary equipment.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify
abnormalities to prevent breakdowns.
- Plan maintenance activities and coordinate with operations,
electrical, instrumentation, and utility teams.
- Support shutdown planning, execution, and equipment overhauling
activities.
- Maintain equipment history, maintenance records, checklists,
and spare-parts requirements.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of equipment failures and implement
corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, permit-to-work systems,
and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance and
service activities.
- Support initiatives to improve equipment reliability, plant
availability, and maintenance costs.
Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in Captive Power Plant or
thermal power plant maintenance.
- Strong hands-on experience in boiler and turbine maintenance.
- Practical exposure to DM plant maintenance is required.
- Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown
maintenance, troubleshooting, and shutdown activities.
- Experience in process manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical,
fertilizer, cement, steel, or similar industries will be preferred.
