Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Material Procurement

Job Description

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in procurement of fabricated parts, CNC/machined components, sheet metal components and subcontracted/job-work items
  • Exposure to processes such as plating, powder coating, painting, anodizing, polishing and surface finishing
  • Strong experience in vendor development, supplier management, RFQ, techno-commercial evaluation and price negotiation
  • Knowledge of MRP, BOM, inventory planning and material availability
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP MM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle or equivalent
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience in cost reduction, supplier performance monitoring and alternate source development

Minimum Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or relevant qualification. MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain / Operations / Materials Management will be an added advantage.
