Key Responsibilities:
1. Finalisation of Accounts
Trial Balance Scrutiny: Perform quarterly review and scrutiny of the trial balance and identify deviations for annual account finalisation.
Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate financial statements for internal and external reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Foreign Currency Revaluation: Revalue foreign debtors in accordance with Ind AS 21, and account for provisions and adjustments on a regular basis.
Period-End Accounting: Manage period-end activities, ensuring timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financials.
2. Budgeting and Financial Planning
Revenue Budgeting: Develop and manage the revenue budget in line with the annual operating plan (AOP) and business strategies.
Capex & Opex Validation: Review MOC (Memorandum of Change) and DPI (Direct Purchase Items) for CAPEX and OPEX to ensure accurate financial approval and tracking.
Expense Budget Management: Oversee the review and division-wise allocation of the expense budget, ensuring alignment with business goals.
3. Management Information Systems (MIS) & Financial Reporting
Monthly MIS: Prepare and analyze monthly port and operational MIS, providing comprehensive insights into performance metrics, revenue, and cost performance.
Financial Planning & Fund Management: Develop fund planning reports in alignment with statutory requirements for government deposits.
Cost-Benefit & ARR Analysis: Assist in preparing detailed business reports, including cost-benefit analysis and ARR calculations as per applicable regulatory guidelines.
4. Statutory Compliances & Taxation
EPCG & EXIM Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with EPCG licenses, advance authorizations, and EXIM policies as per regulatory norms.
Advance Tax & Taxation: Prepare and track advance tax computations based on actual and projected data, ensuring compliance with tax obligations.
Government Reconciliations: Reconcile government records related to rebates, exemptions, and other tax benefits available to the company.
Regulatory Compliance: Provide support on circulars, notifications, and regulatory changes issued by relevant authorities, including state and central tax departments.
Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate recognition of revenue as per contractual agreements and comply with taxation and accounting regulations.
5. Capitalisation of Assets
Asset Capitalisation: Oversee the timely transfer of expenses to capital work in progress (CWIP) and manage the asset capitalization process upon project completion.
Depreciation & Revaluation: Calculate depreciation, perform asset revaluation, and ensure additions or deletions of assets are correctly recorded in line with Ind AS 16.
Fixed Asset Management: Manage the retirement and disposal of assets, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
6. Cost Analysis & Operational Insights
Cost Control & Deviation Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis, identifying and reporting deviations using advanced cost management techniques.
