Key Responsibilities
Strategic
- Manufacturing Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end production of multi-product plants, ensuring seamless transitions
between Agro and API campaigns.
- Process Optimization & Scale-up: Audit existing chemical processes to identify bottlenecks. Implement advanced engineering
solutions to improve yields and reduce batch cycle times.

Cost Management: Execute aggressive cost-reduction strategies by optimizing raw material consumption (Specific Consumption),
reducing solvent loss, and minimizing utility costs.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Provide high-level technical guidance for complex organic synthesis, high-pressure reactions, and
hazardous chemical handling.

Compliance & Quality: Ensure 100% adherence to cGMP (for APIs) and safety standards for Agro-chemical handling. Lead the
team through successful ISO and regulatory audits.
- Resource Planning: Manage manpower, machinery, and material flow to ensure zero downtime and maximum equipment
effectiveness (OEE).

EHS & Sustainability: Enforce rigorous safety protocols for handling toxic/flammable materials and oversee efficient effluent
management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 15–20 years in chemical manufacturing, with a significant portion spent in a leadership role within a combined Agro-API
or Fine Chemicals environment.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong grip on Mass & Energy Balance and Chemical Unit Operations.
- Expertise in Process Safety Management (PSM) and HazOp.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, crisis management, and the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights.
