Job Responsibilities
1. Study lab-scale processes and evaluate commercial feasibility.
2. Scale up processes from R&D to pilot and plant level.
3. Prepare material and energy balance calculations.
4. Develop PFD and support preparation of P&ID.
5. Plan and execute pilot plant trials.
6. Optimize reaction parameters (temperature, pressure, time, solvent).
7. Monitor yield, quality, and productivity during trials.
8. Prepare trial reports and technical documentation.
9. Coordinate technology transfer from R&D to production.
10. Lead plant trials for new product commercialization.
11. Support plant commissioning and start-up activities.
12. Validate process parameters before routine production.
13. Prepare SOPs and batch manufacturing records.
14. Troubleshoot process issues during production.
15. Improve yield, reduce cycle time, and control manufacturing cost.
16. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory norms.
17. Participate in HAZOP and risk assessment studies.
18. Coordinate with QA, QC, maintenance, EHS, and production teams.
19. Maintain proper documentation, validation, and commissioning reports.
Required Skills
· Strong technical knowledge in Chemical Engineering principles.
· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Understanding of batch and continuous processes.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Good communication and coordination abilities.
· Experience in process scale-up, pilot trials, and plant commissioning is mandatory.
