Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
· Supervise and coordinate all faucet assembly activities during the shift.
· Ensure achievement of daily production targets as per plan.
· Monitor assembly processes to ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions.
· Optimize manpower deployment for maximum efficiency and productivity.
· Minimize downtime by proactively addressing operational issues.
Quality Assurance
· Ensure assembled faucets meet quality standards and specifications.
· Monitor defects, rework, and rejection levels; drive corrective actions.
· Ensure in-process and final inspections are conducted as per quality plans.
· Promote first-time-right and continuous quality improvement culture.
Manpower Management
· Lead, motivate, and guide assembly operators and team leaders.
· Ensure proper skill utilization and on-the-job training for operators.
· Manage attendance, shift handovers, and task allocations.
· Enforce discipline, teamwork, and safe work practices.
Safety & Compliance
· Ensure strict compliance with safety norms, PPE usage, and workplace discipline.
· Conduct toolbox talks and promote safety awareness.
· Report and investigate near-misses, incidents, and accidents.
· Maintain a clean and organized assembly area (5S compliance).
Material & Inventory Control
· Ensure availability of components, sub-assemblies, and consumables.
· Coordinate with stores and planning teams to avoid shortages or excess.
· Control material wastage, line losses, and scrap.
Continuous Improvement
· Drive Lean, Kaizen, and productivity improvement initiatives.
· Participate in line balancing, process optimization, and cost reduction projects.
· Support audits (ISO, TPM, safety, internal audits).
Reporting & Documentation
· Maintain shift production, quality, downtime, and manpower reports.
· Ensure proper shift handover and communication to next shift supervisor.
· Escalate critical issues to production management in a timely manner.
