Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement of intermediates, chemicals, solvents, and commercial/R&D raw materials
- Identification, evaluation, and development of reliable suppliers
- Obtaining quotations and negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Preparation and issuance of purchase orders
- Coordination with QA/QC for material approvals and quality compliance
- Maintaining vendor records, pricing information, and material data
- Following up with suppliers for timely deliveries
- Coordination with stores, production, finance, and other internal departments
- Handling documents such as VQ, COA, MSDS, invoices, and delivery challans
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory planning
- Resolving supplier-related issues, shortages, and discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with procurement procedures, EHS policies, SOPs, ISO, and GMP requirements
Candidates with raw material procurement experience in the Chemical, Specialty Chemical, Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, or CDMO industry will be preferred.
